A little history...
Nautiques was founded in 1984 by ocean liner buff Leon Jackson. Leon had the great adventure of buying items directly from the UNITED STATES when her contents were sold off in the 1980s. On many occasions Leon roamed the vast quiet ship, flashlight in hand, ferreting out interesting items that formed the beginning of Nautiques. Leon operated the business from his antique shop in Atlanta, GA., for many years.

In March of 2001, my best friend Rick and I bought Nautiques and moved it to New Hampshire. At first we kept the collection in the balcony of our Art Deco movie theatre, then in a storefront in a small town, and finally in the attached barn on my 1840 house in rural Vermont.

Added features...

I am honored to be offering for the Braynard family many of the books published by the great ship historian Fran k Brayanrd.  You’ll find them in the “Ship Books” section.  Frank once gave me a tour of his amazing basement, a tour I will never forget.

Avid collector Jim Oxborrow creates magnificent original design stained glass windows of ocean liners.  Nautiques is proud to offer his work.  Be sure to read about it here.

Can you image as a kid having free reign to wander where ever you want on a huge mothballed ship?  Avid collector Scott Davis did just that as a teenager.  Read about his adventures exploring the UNITED STATES while she was in Newport News.

Enjoy your browsing!
