BRITANNIC: 1930<br>July 1955 menus
Cunard Line: From a crossing in the peak season in the peak year of transatlantic sailings, a set of four menus from the BRITANNIC. The choices are all First Class: "Frog's Legs, Meuniere", "Pauplettes of Beef, Chasseur", and the ever popular "Calfs' Brains, Beurre Noir". One can only imagine dining on these entrees in the elegant wood paneled dining room. The ship proved popular throughout the 1950s for its older charm and less hurried pace. The BRITANNIC maintained her White Star funnel colors right to the end. These menus are from July 15, 1955 (dinner), July 16 (luncheon), July 17 (luncheon), and July 19 (luncheon). The covers feature various artwork including a photo of the Shakespeare Memorial Theater in Stratford-on-Avon, a building which looks like the Heineken Brewery in Amsterdam. Price for the set.
