"Entering the Mersey"

SUEVIC: 1901<br>"Entering the Mersey"
White Star Line: A Montague Black painting of the ship "entering the Mersey". The SUEVIC was an emigrant carrier to Australia. She was grounded on rocks in 1907 and her bow cracked open. She was fitted with a new bow and continued service for White Star until sold in 1928. She then became a whale factory ship and finally was lost during WW2. This card was posted in 1927.
