C&B Line: A 6" teaspoon made by Reed & Barton with the line name on the handle. The C&B Line provided Great Lakes passenger and freight service between Cleveland and Buffalo, hence C&B. This spoon would have been from the onboard service from famous night boats such as the SEEANDBEE of 1913, which at 500' was once the largest, most expensive, and perhaps most luxurious Great Lakes steamer of her era. C&B thrived in the first part of the 20th century but the rise of the automobile and the specter of the Depression brought an end to the line in 1938. This spoon, probably pocketed by a passionate passenger, is in excellent condition.
