North German Lloyd: A fold-out 16 page cruise deck plan for the BREMEN, issued soon after her 1958 rebuilt from the PASTEUR of 1939. The brochure opens up to 36 inches across and is printed on satisfyingly thick paper. The opening 8 panels show a large profile of the ship, while on the corner of the next page the passenger-accessible decks are marked off, 11 in all. The main decks fill up two pages each and show off details right down to furniture placement. Only slices are shown of the lowest three decks - the Tavern Nightclub on E Deck, the Swimming Pool on F Deck, and the "Vapor Bath" way down on G. The mid-century modern decor shows up in interior photos and unusually, the views are mostly of accommodations: a large cabin, a private bath with his-and-her sinks, a smaller convertible cabin showing both day and night lay-outs, the theatre, an inner cabin and a private shower. The brochure is in excellent condition.
