Cruise East: A 10 page color brochure from the mid-1970s with ship photos, color-coded deck plans and sample cabin lay-outs. The former Norwegian America ship BERGENSFJORD, this Norwegian run experiment for Southeast Asia cruising did not end well. The ship caught fire in 1977 and had to be abandoned. She was towed to Piraeus where she sat for several years until the Soviet controled CTC Cruises decided to refurbish her. But in August 1980 she was swept by fire and was towed into a backwater where she capsized. The burned out hulk is still visible.
