Eastern Steamship Company: Two postcards of the ARIADNE while she served for Eastern Steamship. The nighttime view (unposted) shows her with the "L" on the funnel for the last name of her owner. The second card shows the newer Eastern logo on her funnel. This card is posted by an apparent fan who wrote "We made it to Nassau 9 times. Still like it here." The ship was launched for Swedish Lloyd in 1951 as PATRICIA, then was rebuilt as the cruise ship ARIADNE by Hamburg American. They quickly gave up the ship to Eastern in 1961.
