American Export Lines: Two postcards views of this famous American ship. The first shows the CONSTITUTION in white livery after her late 1950s retrofit. During the work, part of her bridge deck was literally cut off and moved forward onto an extended superstructure. The work, done to both CONNIE and her twin INDEPENDENCE, added more First Class cabins. Personally, I don't think they looked as nice afterwards. The second postcard is a view of the First Class pool on one of the sisters. The buffet table looks regal, flags flutter, and models are artfully poised. You can see one of the arms which extended down the side of the pool a deck up. That was considered quite innovative in 1951. Both cards are line issued and unused.
