Hamburg American Line: Just the type of souvenir that was so popular on German ships - a 16" square silk pillow cover printed with a view of the HAMBURG. Rosy clouds fill the sky and a wreath of flowers surrounds the ship. Plus, just for good measure, two doves hold ribbon ends. The cover is finished off by a border of 2 1/2" tassel. The back is covered by blue silk with a slot to slide in your favorite living room pillow. The cover is in good condition except for three sections in the upper left corner where the tassel and a little bit of the silk is missing. This romantic souvenir was probably sold onboard.
