P&O Orient Lines: A big fold-out tissue deck plan for Tourist Class aboard P&O'S first big post-war liner, the HIMALAYA of 1949. This plan is dated October 1960, after she was no longer flagship of the line. It unfolds to 27" by 30" and shows parts of five decks, all clustered around the traditional Tourist Class territory of the stern. Photos show the Sports Deck and Swimming Pool, Lounge, Dining Room, Nursery, Smoking Room, and two cabins. The decor is a hybrid between the traditional style found on the pre-war STRATHS and the mid-century modern used on later P&O ships. Very good condition.
