Staten Island Ferry: A maiden voyage cache dated October 5, 1981 for the ANDREW J. BARBERI. This ferry is best known for the its deadly crash on October 15, 2003, when the captain passed out as the vessel was approaching Staten Island and the BARBERI collided full speed into the pier. The side was ripped open "like a can opener" and 11 passengers died.
