Fred Olsen Lines: A large cotton dish towel or wall hanging featuring an abstract image of this long-lasting ship along with her name, line name, and house flag. 20" by 30". What an interesting ship! The BLACK PRINCE was built in 1966 to be used for ferry service in the summer and cruise service to the Canary Islands in the winter. From this image you can see she was built for northern waters. Also visible is the black diamond on her bow which contained a figurehead, a Fred Olsen tradition. The ship was shifted to full time cruising in 1987. This hanging is probably from the era between 1987 and 1997, after which her livery was changed to cruising white. She underwent an extensive renovation in 1997 and again in 2004. Today she looks as gorgeous as ever and still plies the high seas.
