British & Irish Steam Packet Company: A line issued postcard showing the official portrait of the 4300 ton ship that ran between Dublin and Liverpool. This early view shows her original buff colored hull which was later replaced with dark green. The LEINSTER survived the war to sail on until 1967 when she was sold to Epirotiki and become their ODYSSEUS. Her sister of 1938, MUNSTER, was not as fortunate as she was sunk in 1940. This car was posted on July 8, 1939, just before the start of war. The writer had just left Dublin and scribbles, "I am on my way to London after the happiness time of my life."
