Tor Line: A 24 page brochure published in the late 1970s for the French market. It is filled with interior photos of these handsome sister ships, showing everything from restaurants and bars to cabins painted a garish orange and naked ladies in the sauna. Several pages show 15 different dishes from the smorgasbord, perhaps to convince the French that the Scandinavians could cook too. In the center is a 2 page cut-away showing everything from trucks on the vehicle decks to the swimming pool up top. The TOR BRITANNIA (1975) and TOR SCANDINAVIA (1976) were built for ferry service from Sweden to the U.K. and Amsterdam. This brochure shows them in their earliest livery as in 1981 the color scheme changed when Tor Line was acquired by DFDS Seaways. The ships still sail today, although in the Mediterranean for Moby Lines. You, dear reader, would just die if you saw their current livery of cartoon characters smeared down the sides.
