ENOTRIA/MESSAPIA<br>Interiors 1966
Adriatica Line: A 12 page rate/info guide for this pair of small motorliners from the early 1950s. They sailed around the Mediterranean from Italy. 76 passengers fit in First Class, while a smaller Second Class carried 44 with 148 in Tourist. This brochure from 1966 has a small b&w portrait of one of the smart looking vessels, a photo of the MESSAPIA's First Class bar, and another photo of the ENOTRIA's First Class Lounge, although it is misidentified as the Tourist Class Verandah. Americans could book passage through either the Italian Line or at American Export offices. In 1975 both ships were sold out of the fleet as Muslim pilgrim ships. The ENOTRIA's was lost in 1980 when she was driven against the Piraeus breakwater. Her sister followed her later to the wreckers.
