American Merchant Lines: An unused cardboard tag for baggage wanted in the stateroom. The tag is from the 1930s when the company and its five AMERICAN BANKER class ships were slowly being incorporated into the United States Lines, hence the similarities with the house flags. The ships carried 76 passengers in very basic and inexpensive accommodations.
