Hamburg American Line: A one-side sheet showing a deck plan of Hamburg American Line's combo ships of 1964/65, WESTFALIA and HAMMONIA. While long-time rival North German Lloyd eventually went back into the passenger service after the fleet destruction of WW2, HAPAG concentrated on freighters instead. The building of their new freighter fleet in the mid-1950s was hailed as the rebirth of the German merchant marine. Twelve passengers were the most that fit into the one deck passenger area on these combo ships.
