Holland America Line: A fold-out 16 page brochure dated January 1958 featuring First Class deck plans for this most elegant of ships. The plans cover from the topmost Sun Deck right down to the swimming pool deep down on E Deck. Each page is tabbed and the cabins are color coded. An added bonus are the 5 b&w photos - showing public rooms and a cabin before any later "updating". Of course also a color portrait at sea. The ship was still in her prime when these plans were printed in 1958 although in a year she would be dethroned as HAL's flagship by the new ROTTERDAM. The NIEUW AMSTERDAM would sail for 16 more years before heading off to the breakers in 1974.
