Ship History: "From Sea Cliff to Barcelona: A Lifetime in Sketches" by Frank Braynard, published in 1995, hardbound with 178 pages. Besides a deep love for ships, historian Braynard also loves to sketch. Beginning as a young boy he began sketching ships. At age 10 he sketched a very realistic LEVIATHAN, and as an indication where his youthful priorities lay, he misspelled his name when he sign the drawing. This book is a compilation of sketches from around the world. There is lots for the ship buff here - the wreck of the SANTA LEONORA in the Straits of Magellan, the Italian ferry EGNATIA, the lounge atop the CROWN ODYSSEY, the schooner MAZURKA, the REGENT STAR near a glacier, and more.
