NDL: The September 1928 issue of "The Seven Seas", a travel magazine published in English by North German Lloyd. The highlight is a double page spread of the dual launch of the BREMEN and EUROPA. The ships were built at different yards but were launched the same day. The plan had been for both ships to take their maiden voyage at the same time but a fire aboard the EUROPA when she was just about complete put an end to that idea. Other features include an article on travel by poet Genevieve Taggard, photos of traffic cops from 'round the world, fashions that could withstand the confines of a travel trunk, and wonderful ads for grand hotels, autos, and ships. A route map on back shows just how extensive NDL's world-wide service was in 1928. 18 pages an in good condition, although several inner pages have come loose.
