French Line: One of stained glass artist Jim Oxborrow's best efforts to date - the FRANCE on a glorious day sailing from New York. Jim's original works are even more beautiful in person as I can attest to with his "Art Decko" hanging in my kitchen window. Here is what the artist says of his latest work: "I made this piece as a tribute to the S.S. FRANCE. I am deeply saddened by her grounding at Alang. I wanted to remember her in happier times, returning from her maiden voyage in 1962. She is seen leaving New York, passing an AMERICAN EXPORT freighter and the Brooklyn Bridge. Incorporated in the window is a 1962 maiden voyage medallion. Over 450 pieces." Packing and shipping quotes available upon request. 21 1/2" by 35".
