Chandris America Line: A rare b&w postcard of the BRETAGNE, a ship that only served a few years with Chandris in the early 1960s before being destroyed in a shipyard fire. The ship was built in 1952 as a French passenger liner. Chandris acquired her in the early 1960s and operated her for a short time using her original name. She was to become the BRITTANY after the retrofit. This line issued card was mailed from a Panama Canal cruise in August 1961.
